Mood Pictures Mood Pictures conducted a real experiment based on Yale professor Stanley Milgram’s 1961 research. Four outsiders, all women, volunteered to participate. Their task was to punish other girls (spanking models), supposedly to test how corporal punishment affects learning. The outsiders were not aware that they were the real subjects of the experiment, being tested to see how cruel they were, and how far they would go, to punish the other girls.
